Before you connect

• Install and launch the tool.
• Create an API key and save the plaintext value shown once.
• Choose a model ID whose protocol and capability match the tool.

Minimal configuration

Prefer onboard with Custom Provider / OpenAI-compatible. Preserve existing structure and replace only provider, URL, key, and model values.

• Fields can change by version; preserve the structure generated by your installed version.

Verify the connection

1. Run openclaw gateway restart.
2. Confirm the provider and model appear, then send a minimal request.

Limitations and common issues

• Do not guess contextWindow, maxTokens, or pricing fields.
• A 404 usually indicates an incorrect Base URL or model ID.
