Install & upgrade

Uses your current Codex provider URL and key with no separate configuration. The provider must support the image endpoints, and your key must have access to gpt-image-2.5-flare or sunburst. Complete Codex setup first.

  1. Download and extract the ZIP. Move the entire Skill folder inside it into the directory below. SKILL.md must be directly inside that folder, without an extra nesting level.

    If CODEX_HOME is set, use its skills subfolder instead.

  2. General image generation needs no extra Python packages. For game assets, install dependencies from the Skill folder:

    python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt
    Windows: py -3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt

  3. Restart Codex or start a new chat. Ask “Draw a sunset poster” or invoke $noxgate-imagegen; use $gpt-image-2-5-game-assets for game asset batches.

Back up the existing folder, then replace it entirely with the new version. Avoid merging folders and leaving old scripts behind. Your Codex configuration lives outside the Skill folder.

Before you install

Client packages are signed by the NoxGate release system. After installation, the app checks for new versions and can download, install, and restart after your confirmation.
